9.30am: Woke up without feeling any aching pain or that braces feeling in my mouth. Went to brush my teeth. The moment I remove the aligners it hurts. Afterall i am only into Day 2. So I got smart and went to eat breakfast so that I don't have to remove my aligners for it again. Had 2 slices of bread with butter, a tall glass of milk and a piece of banana. That should last me till early evening.
10am to 7pm I felt no pain or aches unless I yawn or bite down on my aligners. My teeth seems to have moved a little.
7.30pm: I removed my aligners and it was still snugged tight. Broke 2 nails doing so. Now I not only have bruised gums I have bruised nails. Lol. Still learning how to remove my aligners. Guess I am not too good at it yet. Ate 2 bowls of rice cuz I was damned hungry attempting to fill myself up so that I won't feel hungry later on. Finished my dinner brush my teeth, get em flossed and put on my braces again. Damned it was painful. But the pain didn't last like day 1. It just comes when u snap on and snap off. You will feel super tight for about 5 to 10 minutes and then no more pain.
So the constant pain and discomfort was full force on day 1 and quickly subsided into day 2 except the snapping on and off the aligners everytime. I read that very soon it will be a breeze after day 3 onwards. Le husby was on traditional braces and he told me his teeth ached for 1 whole month before things took a change. That's traditional though. I think mine won't right? *keeping my fingers cross*
Some time around midnight my tummy rumbled. Super hungry but I had already brushed my teeth and snapped on the aligners. It's still quite raw and painful to remove them. Afterall i am only progressing to day 3. I dropped the idea of eating and went to bed with a rumbling stomach.
Seriously, I wonder how some girls go on a diet by not eating. How to survive? I NEVER been on a diet. I can forsake food. I will die. Of course I try my best to eat real food and cheated a little on chocolates. Honestly, I confess I can never go on a diet.
I am still reading up on people's experience with clear aligners online. What they say and how they feel. I couldn't find detailed information about it. So I hope that with my updates I can help ease your mind a little if u have just started on this Clearpath invisible braces or any invisible braces. So that you know and be prepared. To know that the pain will pass in days to come. Day 1 is a bitch, day 2 is easing up a little. Looking forward to day 3.
It looks like the pain of braces forced you to go on a diet. Well, that was just your second day of wearing aligners, so you were still pretty much on the excruciating phase. I hope you fared well through it. Good luck with the rest of your clearpath journey!
