So finally i had my clear aligners reached my dentist
office. Finally!!! Just so you don't know yet i am doing Clearpath. A newer
version of Invisalign. I can’t imagine myself going through the
traditional metal wired braces! And when i smile, i will look like this.
I had thought about this for the longest time.
Because if I am ever on the unsightly brackets I may not look nice in
photoshoot anymore. My mouth will protrude even more than it already is. I've checked
with many dentists and all of them told me that I need to be on it for 3 and a
half years! Yes, for just some overcrowding it will take me 3 and a half ugly
years!! I gave up until I read about Invisalign. But what puts me off is the
attachments that are bonded onto my teeth during treatments. I backed out
again. If you don’t know what I meant by attachments, take a look at this.
So they are not so invisible after all huh? Not until I found
out about Glittz Smile Dental Surgery By FDC. I learned about the latest technology. I discovered ClearPath! This time it is
really invisible! No unsightly attachments! Just really clear plastic aligners. And you know what's the best part? I only need to be on it for 14 months!!! I will have an almost perfect smile in 6 months!!! Comparing it with the traditional braces which will take 3 and a half years!!! God!!!
Now take a look at ClearPath!
The above is with Clearpath on!!! So clear that it's almost invisible!
Definitely for someone who loves to be in front of the camera. So what is the
difference between ClearPath and other aligners?
I did so much research online only
to find little information about it in Singapore. No one really blog about it.
So I wanna be the first few to give you information. I will be recording my whole
journey here for people like me wanting to find out more about Clearpath. You
have to stay tune here for more of my journey.
Comparing Invisalign and ClearPath
So what is the difference
between Invisalign and ClearPath?
Seriously,
after doing research on them both, I find them to be similar that I think of
them as Coke and Pepsi. But ClearPath is definitely newer.
Their similarities:
Both are equally credible.
ClearPath, though incepted later, is currently operating in 25 countries and
Invisalign has been providing its service since 1997 from its manufacturers
Align Technology Inc. Both have millions of successful cases each.
Both
use 3D treatment planning tools and map out a complete treatment plan which
shows how your teeth will move gradually with each aligner and eventually how
your teeth will look like after the entire treatment. Which means you can see
the end result even before treatment starts!
Aligners
from both providers are made of plastic which turns out to be a better material
than metal due to its flexibility.
Their differences:
ClearPath
is younger than Invisalign which likely means that the latter has more successful
cases than the former. But it may also mean that ClearPath employs the latest
advanced technology to fabricate aligners making them, perhaps, more efficient,
effective and comfortable.
So what exactly is
ClearPath?
ClearPath
introduces a breakthrough USFDA APPROVED technology which revolutionises the
way we treat malocclusion (straighten the teeth). ClearPath provides new
improved quality aligners through
its unique proprietary process which provides a hygienic, convenient and a

2) YOUR CUSTOM TREATMENT
PLAN
Doctor Aizat sends your records;
your impressions, photos, and x-rays to ClearPath with a prescription for your
custom aligners. ClearPath uses your records to create exact 3D models of your
teeth. Then working with Doctor Aizat every step, and following the precise
instructions provided on your prescription, ClearPath maps out a complete
treatment plan of gradual adjustment that takes your teeth from where they are
currently to where you and Doctor Aizat want them to end up.
Once completed, you and Doctor
Aizat will be able to preview the projected results of your treatment in your
"treatment set-up," a computer representation of your teeth before
and after treatment.
When you and Doctor Aizat are
satisfied with the projected results shown in your treatment set-up, the
manufacturing process begins. Using the latest digital mapping and molding
technology, ClearPath creates your custom aligners with computer precision.
ClearPath then sends your aligners to Glittz Smile Dental Surgery By FDC.
You are advised to wear your aligners
all the time, except while eating and drinking or during daily tooth care, such
as brushing and flossing.
Your ClearPath aligners are so
clear they are barely noticeable so they won't have an impact on your day to
day life.
Aligner by aligner, you'll be
able to see the difference as your teeth slowly adjust and align to your target
smile.
You'll visit your Doctor Aizat periodically
for checkups to see how you're progressing until you eventually have the great
smile you've always wanted.
UNMATCHABLE FEATURES OF CLEARPATH'S
REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY
1) Snug fitting, No attachments / minimold buttons / elastics
required
2) Crystal Clear Aligner with no haziness, fogginess or cutting
marks
3) Faster turn-around time
4) See the treatment outcome even before it starts
5) Affordable for patient
MORE PRECISION AT EVERY STEP OF THE TREATMENT
The
entire process is designed to deliver customized aligner that moves each tooth
directly along the most efficient path to achieve the desired goal. By
optimizing each aligner’s output, it minimize the number of aligners and
intermediate changes required that leads to shorter treatment duration for us.
I CHOSE CLEARPATH.
So this is my journey and I am going to start my first set of
clear plastic in no time. I had my 4 tooth extracted to create a perfect smile.
No I am not brave! Never once have been and never once will be. I am dentophobia. As
much as I can remember, I was caned by a nurse in my primary school and I still
remembered her name was Nurse Day! Mean as hell... like her...
Still remembered the fillings she did for me. The drilling!!! Ever since then I had phobia going to
dentist! You won’t believe how disgusting I am to not frequent the dental
clinic. I won’t go unnecessarily! You won’t know how afraid I am unless you are
dentophobia! Only then you will understand.
But it all changed! I met Doctor Aizat from Glittz Smile Dental Surgery By FDC
Grabbed this picture from their facepage.
First look
you know he is one funky cool new age kinda guy. He was gentle and he will give
me assurance over and over again knowing that I am scared. So he took my
impression and all and we were set to extract 4 teeth! First I was taken aback.
Definitely! Who won’t?! I just extracted my wisdoms a month back in the
hospital under General Anaesthesia as I was too scared.
No way I could go
through 4 teeth extraction at 1 go awake!!! NO WAY!!! Then Doctor Aizat assured
me that it will only take about 15 mere minutes to extract all 4 and it will be
painless. Not even the injections. And it was true. One of my teeth only took
him 28 seconds to extract. My lower right one was a tough cookie. It was a
tooth deeply embedded and it was crooked. It had a hooked root hence it was very
difficult to extract. Well it took a while but I swear that the procedure was
painless and not as traumatising as I thought it would be. And if you don’t
believe how fast he is, check out this video. ( You can hear my thai sweetheart encouraging me) Lol.
Fast right? The whole procedure was painless. Not even the 8 injections to the gums because Doctor Aizat applied numbing lotion to the area. Amazing right?
That was me listening to what Doctor Aizat have to say. He was telling me what he will be doing to me. Explaining to me that 1 of my lower teeth that i crooked will be difficult to extract.
Doctor Aizat injecting the local anesthesia to my gums. I was shaking badly cuz i am afraid remember? Look at the assuring hand from the amazing nurse (i didn't catch her name) She is so damned amazing and trust me she did a fantastic job in calming me down.
She is amazing!!! She kept on holding on to my hands telling me it's gonna be fine, it's gonna be over, i did a fantastic job!!! Trust me it helped me alot. All the encouraging words from her and Doctor Aizat.
Now that this photo is up you can see why i need braces. Lol. And we had a difficult extraction for the lower last slanting teeth. That teeth grew crooked and was in a "hook shape" at the roots. It was deeply embedded into my jawbone. Doctor was really patient and encouraging. He trimmed down the crown of my teeth and used different techniques. He was extremely careful not to break my teeth and he wanted to pull it out as a whole. He did so as he said. It came out in 1 piece after awhile. I wasn't feeling anything throughout. See my teeth!!!
Below was me immediately after extraction. My lips were so numbed!!!
Note: That is not my panty, i was wearing shorts! Haha. Anyway, that was Doctor Aizat teaching me how to put on my clearpath.
Up till today I have no idea where did my courage came from. I think I can say that my courage came from Doctor Aizat. If you were to ask me if I am still dentophobia I would have to say yes if the Doctor ain’t Doctor Aizat himself. I am definitely recommending him to all my friends. You should really pay him a visit for your dental trip. No joke. He is that awesome!!!
And by the way I got my plastic aligners already. See….
Got my name on the clear braces somemore!
And I was told my first few aligners will be closing up the gap
from the extraction. Meaning that there will not be much changes in the front.
I can’t wait to start on my plastics. Meanwhile, here is my Virtual Setup. (I
have a jaw like a dog seriously!!!) The before and after is so much difference.
And the after is so perfect!!!
So much difference right? And you can't imagine those were hidden under this face
My teeth looks fine if you see me on the same level face to face. But if you are taller than me then you will probably notice the overcrowding. No one actually notice until i told them about it. But it's me. I had biting problem and i wanna correct it. With Clearpath i can have a better facial projection and my slightly protruding mouth will be pushed inwards. Hence i guess i will be more chio... lol...
I stole this 2 pictures from their facebook page.
The staff working there is super amazing. They have an amazing team. Look for Chelsia,
Photo stolen from facebook.
Gayathrie, photo also stolen from facebook.
or Guan. Still stolen from facebook. LOL!!!
If only i know the name of the nurse assisting Doctor Aizat. I couldn't thank her enough. Thank you so much for everything. For making all these easy. You guys have no idea how difficult it is mentally and emotionally for someone with dentophobia. Thanks for making me feel so comfortable!!!

Wow! That’s amazing! I didn’t know there is so much difference in both these dental treatments. Thanks a ton for sharing. Well I am also going to consult an experienced dentist Redondo Beach for my regular dental checkup. My friend suggested going to him. I hope for the best!!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Thanks for detailing everything. I am inspired and I will soon visit my dentist at Estetico Manila for a check up,
ReplyDeleteI’m glad that you got exactly what you wanted for your teeth, and it looks comfortable too! Dental methodology involves a lot of seemingly-painful procedures, so it is true that how the dentist approaches a patient could basically redefine the whole experience. So it’s good that your dentist was very careful and meticulous with the procedure, and you came out of it unscathed and feeling less queasy around dentists. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

whhhoooooaa the change is very substantial! Was not expecting that the end result would be so different. Glad that now you have a perfect smile :) Got encouraged by reading your blogpost thanks for sharing. I am gonna get my treatment done from Dentzz hope they are as good as your Dr.
ReplyDeleteWow. That's and incredible story. Thanks for all the detailed info. I have some overcrowding and a minor overbite and was looking for a way to correct my teeth without having to get braces. Reading your story makes me a little less nervous to try Clear Path. I'm exited to try it and I hope my process goes as well as yours is.

Hi Yvonne how long did u have to wear the aligners ? I will need extraction as well. But scared. Would like some more info. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHello,im also interested in getting clearpath, how often do you need to go back and visit your doctor once you started on the aligners?
ReplyDeleteI wish they had ClearPath when I had my teeth straightened. To start with, I had metal braces. My lips poked out like a duck the first year. Everytime I wore dark colors, the metal on my braces just made my teeth look black from a distance. You and your smile look great! You can't tell you have orthodontic work.
